Essaouira is located approximately 170km west of Marrakech on Morocco’s Atlantic coast (see map). If coming from Europe the easiest way to reach Essaouira is to fly to Marrakech and take a taxi or bus from there. A taxi for up to four people will cost around 500 to 800 dirham (about €50-80). You can pick up a taxi at the airport but bartering on the price is up to you! If you prefer a pre-book taxi company our guests have used this company in the past: Alternatively there is a 4x daily bus service that is significantly cheaper that must be booked in advance from the bus company office in Marrakech. |

The Apartment is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the Beach and the Club Mistral windsurfing, kite Surfing and surfing centre (Club Mistral). The old town and Medina are a 7dh ‘petit’ taxi ride from the house (flag one down from the road) or around a 30-40 minute walk along the Beach. There are a few local shops selling basic necessities located around the apartment building and adjacent square - the nearest supermarket and outdoor café are on the pedestrianised square along the main north-south road towards town. |
